WEST FORK — Robert B. Ramey, age 97, of West Fork, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Wyola, Ark., the son of Enos Benjamin and Eva Bell Baker Ramey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.
He was a farmer and worked at the CC Camp at Devil's Den making furniture and was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by seven sons, Marion Ramey and his wife Barbara, Ronnie Ramey and his wife Judy, Russell Ramey and his wife Olivia, Billy Ramey and his wife Connie, Doug Ramey and his wife Amy, Randall Ramey and his wife Becky and Tom Ramey and his wife Sharron; a brother, Phineus Ramey of Winslow; 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 5 p.m.- 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel followed by interment at Brentwood Cemetery.
