Dortha T. Butler 94, of Searcy passed away on May 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. She was born to the late W.T. and Addie Townsend on July 17, 1923 in McRae, Arkansas.

Dortha was the sweetest perfect person, who received great pleasure from cooking for her family. She had no unkind thoughts or words about anyone. She loved to be around her family and enjoyed working puzzles.

She is survived by one son James F. Butler (Linda) of Searcy; two daughters Dottie J. Pennigton (Jim) of Start, Louisiana and Juanita Hughes of Searcy; one sister Reba Brown of Searcy; one brother Ezra Townsend of Searcy; eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren with one on the way, also many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Joe C. Butler; a daughter Carolyn Hattabaugh; one granddaughter Melissa Toomer; one grandson Bill Butler; all of her other siblings.

Visitation is Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Roller Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy, Arkansas.

Funeral Service is Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Roller Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with Brother James Hays officiating, interment to follow at Searcy Faith Assembly Cemetery.
