Mrs. Alma Mae Barnett, 77 of Hamburg, AR, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Ashley County Medical Center. She was a native of Fountain Hill, AR, and had resided in Hamburg for over 50 years, was a retiree of Hamburg Shirt Factory and was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in
Fountain Hill.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Barnett, two sons, Ronnie David & Bobby “Spoon” Barnett, one grandson, Andrew Baker, her parents: Robert & Mary David, one brother, Billy Ray David and one sister, Earlene Miller. She loved watching television, sports were her favorite. She also enjoyed listening to and singing along with gospel music and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, Jamie Barnett of Sedalia, MO, two daughters,
Marilyn Wilson, husband Reggie & Janice Williamson, husband Gary all of
Hamburg, AR, four brothers: Thomas David of Ft. Hill, AR, Gregory David,
wife Audrey of Crossett, AR, Richard David, wife Barbara of Pine Bluff,
AR & Ricky David, wife Connie of Oakland, CA, four sisters: Robizine
Sawyer & Faye Franklin both of Kansas City, MO, Dorothy David of
Oakland, CA & Mary Williams of Montgomery, AL, twelve grandchildren,
nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives loved ones and friends..
Funeral services are Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion
Missionary Baptist Church with Eld. Robert Adams, Jr., officiating. Burial in Lacey Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of
Hamburg, AR.
