Lyall Clifton Porter, 94 of Clarksville, died Tuesday June 10, 2014 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was born September 25, 1919 in Harmony, Arkansas to James L. and Ola (Miracle) Porter. Mr. Porter was a member of the Harmony First Presbyterian Church, a 32nd degree mason, and a former justice of the peace. Lyall served our country in the merchant marines before WW II and in the U.S. Navy during the war; Lyall returned home and spent many years working in the lumber industry. Lyall is preceded in death by his Parents, two brothers; Buel and Gus Porter, one sister, Trixie Buchanan. Mr. Porter is survived by his Son Victor and his wife Harrisha of McKinney, TX; Brother Bill Porter of Clarksville; grandsons, Chris and Mindy Porter, Taylor and Tammy Porter, and Alex Porter; great granddaughter Cora Mae Porter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends throughout the community.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Porter's funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Harmony First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Hansaw officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery with Chris Porter, Taylor Porter, Alex Porter, David Porter, Jimmy Porter, Robert Porter, Bruce Wilson and Joshua Wilson serving as pallbearers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home
