Joyce Ann (Smith) Palmer, 67 of Ozark, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Fort Smith.

Joyce was born March 13, 1949 in Lamar to Mr. David Clint and Mary Alice (Sams) Palmer.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, and visiting with her friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Hannah Hutchins, Clara Wilson, and Patsy Jane Palmer; and four brothers, Warren, Henry, George, and William Palmer.

Ms. Palmer is survived by three daughters, Anna (Michael) Havener, Alicia (Robbie) Needham, and Cathy Smith all of Clarksville; three grandsons, Duwane Ledbetter, Jonathan Havener, and Dustin Needham; three sisters, Alice Harmon, Maude (Larry) Holman, and Mary (Jim) Hale; one brother, David Palmer; three sister in laws, Hattie, Betty, and Geneva Palmer; the father of her daughters, Verlon Smith; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Joe Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Cemetery with, Bill Bavis, Chris Napier, Steve Hale, Darren Harmon, Michael Palmer, and Eugene Palmer serving as pallbearers. Carl Wilson, Gerald Palmer and Joyce’s grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
