Alvose George Watkins, 41, died yesterday at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Winslow Community and had lived on Route 8, Fayetteville since April. He was born April 3, 1921 at Winslow, the son of William and Edith Watkins, and was an employee of Campbell Soup Co. for the past eight years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Church of Christ. He is survived by the widow, Adron, and five sons, Wayne, Dale, Jimmy, Erwin, and Mark, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Watkins, Brentwood; five brothers, Floyd, Pittsbing, Calif., Millard, Winslow, and Lawrence, Fayetteville, J. R., Sand Springs, Okla., and Jack, Petaluma, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Stanley, Winslow. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brentwood Church. Burial in Brentwood Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
