*Obituary - Albert Nicholas Lorfing
Albert (Al) Lorfing, 87, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1937 and Finley Engineering College in Kansas City, Kan., in 1938, served during World War II as a civilian employee of the U. S. Navy Department in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, as an electrician, and owned and operated Sunnyside Truck Stop and Cafe from 1947 until his retirement in 1988. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Basham; and one grandson, Paul Moix.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Werner Lorfing; two sons and wives, Charles and Rhonda Lorfing of Clarksville and Louie and Louise Lorfing of Houston, Texas; four daughters and husbands, Carole and Robert Moix of Conway, Janet and Freeman Wish of Clarksville, Virginia and John Rosser of Key Biscayne, Fla., and Susan and Jimmy Dickerson of Del City, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rosary service was held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father William Wewers officiating. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Wish, Loren Wish, Phillip Dickerson, Luke Moix, Larry Plugge, Charlie Plugge, Michael Werner, and Tom Werner.
