Charles Albert Lorfing was born September 6, 1949, to Albert and Mary Werner Lorfing, in Clarksville, Arkansas, and passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, in Clarksville, Arkansas, at the age of 65.

Chuck was a graduate of Clarksville High School and the College of the Ozarks (now University of the Ozarks). On September 30, 2012, he retired as a Senior Auditor from the Division of Legislative Audit after 36 years of service. Chuck was known for his ability to tell a long story or a good joke. He had a quick wit and great sense of humor. He loved people and will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Ann Basham; and his nephew, Paul Moix.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Rhonda Been Lorfing of Clarksville, Arkansas; two daughters: Sigrid Lorfing and fiance, Jordan Goodwin, and Sydne Lorfing, all of Clarksville, Arkansas; his brother: Louie Lorfing and wife, Louise, of New Hampshire; four sisters: Carole Moix and husband, Robert, of Conway, Arkansas; Janet Wish and husband, Freeman, of Clarksville, Arkansas; Virginia Rosser, and husband, John, of Florida; Susan Dickerson and husband, Jimmy, of Oklahoma; his Father-in-law: Myron Been; two Brother-in-laws: Richard Basham; Randy Been and wife, Stephanie; his Sister-in-Law: Janet Harmon and husband, Steve; his Uncle Bernard Werner; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Clarksville, Arkansas, with Father William Wewers, O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Clarksville.

Pallbearers will be John, Tom, Fred, George, Mike, and Steve Werner. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Chat-N-Scat Morning Gang and the current and former employees of the Division of Legislative Audit.
