Charles Marsh came to Benton Co, AR in March 1889. He had just been widowed in Kansas. They were loading the wagon, preparing for the move to Arkansas, when a colt spooked and Mrs. Marsh collapsed. She died several days later and is buried in Rooks County, KS. Charles came on to Benton County with son, Jacob Henry and his wife Mary Magdalene.
Charles married Elizabeth Cowart after coming to Arkansas. It is Elizabeth and Charles who are buried in the Georgia Flats Cemetery. It is my understanding there are no markers. Contributed by Carla Porath
