Mary Katherine Johnson
January 08, 1931 - February 21, 2018
Mary Katherine Johnson, age 87, of Batesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Cave City Nursing Home. She was born January 8, 1931, in Moorefield, Arkansas, the daughter of Mumford and Ruthel Pool of Moorefield.
Katherine is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy Joe Pool.
Survivors include her husband James Burge (J.B.) Johnson; a sister, Wanda Geraldine (Jonnie) James of Batesville; a brother, Don Pool and wife Barbara of Moorefield; a son, Donald Ray Johnson and wife May of Batesville; a daughter, Brenda Marion and husband Bill of Searcy; four grandsons, James Johnson and wife Shelley, Jason Johnson and wife Katina, Aaron Durham and wife Emily, Jeff Johnson and wife Letha; and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Durham, James Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Jason Johnson, Bill Marion and C.J. Dye.
