Laura Hart Davis Smith, age 54, of Poplarville, MS passed away on December 13, 2016 due to complications from pancreatitis. She was born August 11, 1962 to Jerry Wade Davis, Sr. and Nancy Wiginton Davis. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry Wade Davis, Sr. and her brother Jerry Wade Davis, II. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, canoeing, crafting, working on her farm and spending time with her animals. She was always willing to give a helpful hand and she was an advocate for pancreatitis research. Mrs. Smith was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. She was an avid Razorback fan.

She is survived by her husband Bill Smith, her mother Nancy Davis, daughter, Megan Smith Munise and her husband Ben, step-son, Zachary Smith, uncles, Joe and Tom Wiginton, aunt, Patsy Weeks, cousin/sisters, Deborah Huish, Jeanene Holmes, Melissa Ezzi, and numerous family and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Nathan Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
