Berdie Lee Darden Nipper, 95 of El Dorado passed away on November 30, 2019 at Timberland Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 8, 1924 in Lisbon, AR to the late Lem Thomas Darden and Mary Jetton Darden.

Berdie worked for J & M Poultry for 15 years before becoming a Homemaker. She took a lot of pride in caring for her home and family, loved fishing and made a fabulous Chocolate Cake. Berdie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Urbana.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband of 67 years, James William Nipper; three grandsons, James Glenn Harris, Cliff Wayne Harris, and John Ryan Nipper; and fourteen brothers and sisters.

Surviors include her daughter, Mary Jo Harris of El Dorado; sons, Charles Terry Nipper (Sharon) and Johnny Nipper (Elaine) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Cinda Funderburg (Joe), Belinda Thomas, James Ryan Nipper (Rachael), Stanley Nipper (Jo Ann), Angela Nipper, Tommy Nipper (Devin), Carrie Glaspie (P.J.) and Sherrie Arceneaux (Alex); eighteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Urbana officiated by Bro. Ricky Watts. Interment will follow at Urbana Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
