James "Jimmy" Odell Cowell of Hartman, Arkansas, was born April 27, 1923, in Lutherville, Arkansas, and died December 30, 2015, in Lamar, Arkansas, at the age of 92. He was a retired Mechanic and a member of Hartman Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lera Harris Acord Cowell; his parents, James J. and Melissa R. Breedlove Cowell; three brothers; and eight sisters.
He is survived by two sons: Robert J. Acord and wife, Suzanne, of Hartman, Arkansas and Ronald O. Cowell and wife, Mary Jane, of Independence, Missouri; a daughter, Carol Blackard and husband, Larry, of Hartman, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Kendall Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating.
