Willis David Jones, age 92 of the Lacey Community in Drew County, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home. He was born March 2, 1924 in Drew County, AR to the late Lee and Mina McClain Jones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five sisters, Merle Billingsley, Ruby Bailey, Callie Johnson, Erma Lee Snodgrass and Louise Grubbs; one brother, R.D. Jones, Sr.; and a daughter-in-law, Estrallyn Jones.
He was a retired pulpwood contractor for Georgia Pacific, board member for the Lacey-Ladelle Water Association, past-president of the Drew Central School Board and a member/trustee of the Lacey United Methodist Church. Willis loved the outdoors and was an avid bird hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Bitty Knowles Jones of Lacey; one son, Sampy Jones of Lacey; two grandchildren, David Jones and wife Windy of Hamburg and Turah Rush and husband Reagan of Lacey; five great grandchildren, Colby White, Emily Rush, Brandon Jones, Ashton Jones, and Kamryn Jones; three great-great grandchildren, Madison, Emerson and Easton Jones; and a sister-in-law, Betty Findley and husband Mickey of Monticello.
Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time Thursday. Memorials may be given to Lacey Methodist Church, c/o Sherry Wallis, 2540 Prairie Rd, Monticello, AR 71655 or the Lacey Cemetery Association, c/o Roy Alan White, 671 Hwy 133, Fountain Hill, AR 71642 .

Bitty Knowles Jones, age 95 of Monticello, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020, at Belle View Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. She was born November 3, 1924, in the Possum Valley community in Drew County to the late Albert Knowles and Servilla Harrison Knowles.
She was the widow of Willis Jones, school teacher, bookkeeper for Jones Logging, homemaker and was a member of Lacey United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bitty loved cooking, fishing and traveling but her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She also served on the Monticello Library Board for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Ann Findley and Jewel Bohannan; and daughter-in-law, Estrallyn Jones.
Survivors include her son, Sampy Jones and wife Shirley of Lacey; two grandchildren, David Jones and wife Windy of Hamburg and Turah Rush and husband Reagan of Lacey; five great grandchildren, Colby White (CJ), Emily Berryman (Zach), Brandon Jones (Stephanie), Ashton Jones and Kamryn Jones; six great-great grandchildren, Madison Jones, Emerson Jones, Easton Jones, Hudson Jones, Rhett Berryman and Cash White; and one special brother-in-law, Mickey Findley of Monticello.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Lacey Cemetery. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to: Lacey United Methodist Church or Lacey Cemetery.
