Carolyn Richards Jones of Houston/Onalaska, TX, entered eternal life on February 9, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 18, 1932 in Levy, North Little Rock, AR to parents Maggie and Jake Richards. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she was also involved in Choir and numerous other activities. She was a smart, beautiful and loving individual with an amazing gift for music as an accomplished pianist. She met our father, James (Jimmy) Jones of Lacy, AR, at the University of Arkansas. They were later married on Thanksgiving Day, 1955, then settled in England, AR. They moved to Houston in 1956 where their children were born and raised, and she worked as a school teacher. They built their retirement home on Lake Livingston in Onalaska, TX where they spent the next 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James (Jimmy) Jones, son James (Tommy) Jones; brothers Bill Richards and Charles Richards; sister Francis Rodman and Nephew David Jones. Survived by daughters Diana Fowler and Carol Wiseman; grandchildren James Wiseman, Rachael Wiseman, Ashley Fowler, Natalie Young, Megan Fowler; great granddaughter Zoey Young; Sister Mary Ellen Dillon of North Little Rock, Nieces Mary Carol Horne, Linda Morgan, Joanne Duke, Kathy Hatcher, Suzi Niven, Mary Jane Fulmer and Janis Jones; Nephews Ricky Plummer, Johnny Plummer, Michael Plummer, Louie Plummer, Billy Plummer, Chuck Dillon, Butch Dillon and her Cousin Dave Richards. Funeral service was 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 17, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was pianist. Burial was in Lacey Cemetery.
