Billy Joe Harrington, Sr., 75 of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died August 2, 2016, at Ozark Community Hospital, Gravette, Arkansas. Born August 22, 1940, in Maysville, Arkansas, he was the son of William Holland Harrington and Lora Ann (Wilhelm) Harrington. Billy was a Golden Glove Boxer and went by the name of “Fighting Tiger”, he was also an avid poker player and a man of great integrity. Billy served our country in the Army.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Perry, Denny and Rudy.

Survivors include sons BJ Harrington and wife Shannon of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Alan Walton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters Tammy Oakley of Maysville, Arkansas and Kelly DeShields of Gravette, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters Velma Hendrickson of Hiwasse, Arkansas, Dallene Herrington of Southwest City, Missouri, Fredia Shook of Rogers, Arkansas and Inge Harrington of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2016, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, Arkansas.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
