ROGERS — John H. Puryear, 69, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice - Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on June 26, 1942, in Hiwasse, Ark., to John E. Puryear and Alice Reese Puryear.

He was raised and educated in Hiwasse, Ark. He retired as a tool-maker for Kennametal after 43 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Puryear; and sister, Maxine Puryear.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Frankie Puryear of Rogers, Ark.; two sons, Richard Puryear (Markeeta) of Hiwasse, Ark., and Scott Puryear (Janet) of Colcord, Okla.; two daughters, Heather Roberts (Clayton) of Bella Vista, Ark., and Debbie Rhodes (Jeff) of Gravette, Ark.; one brother, Billy Puryear (Barbara) of Hiwasse, Ark.; two sisters, Coleen Ramey (Myron) of Gravette, Ark., and Barbara Kirkpatrick (Cliff) of Valley Center, Kan.; lifelong friend, Howard Presley (Evelyn); and eight grandchildren, Spencer, Angela, Emily, Regan, Morgen, Carter, Ramsey and Hannah.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Burial will be at the Daniel Cemetery, Hiwasse, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice - Legacy, 900 N.E. Verdant, Bentonville, AR, 72701 in John Puryear's memory.
