Shirley J. Cater, age 82 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Woods Nursing and Rehab in Monticello, AR. She was born September 30, 1938, in Drew County, AR to the late Bruce Bostian and Merle Bradley Bostian.
She was a homemaker and member of Old Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Shirley had a servant's heart loving to sing and praise the Lord. Her family was her first priority and always put them before herself. Other hobbies she enjoyed were sewing, gardening and doing yard work. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Bostian and Sidney Bostian.
Survivors include her husband, Paul R. Cater of Monticello; five children, Kathy Boyd of Texas, Michael Boyd and wife Teresa of Texas, Jackie Cater and wife Lisa of Monticello, Paula Myres and husband Phillip of Little Rock and Mark E. Cater and wife Meranda of Monticello; three brothers, Bobby Bostian of Monticello, Raymond Bostian of Garland, TX, J.B. Bostian of Rison and Herbert Bradley of Monticello; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Campground Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com. Memorials may be made to Project Zero.
