George Henry Douthit 83 of Kansas, OK passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Grace Living Center in Tahlequah, OK. Mr. Douthit was born July 19, 1928 in Siloam Springs, AR; he was son of John and Della Douthit. He married Deloris Huffman on Sept 1, 1990 in Colcord, OK. George had worked for the Oklahoma State Highway Dept. George was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Colcord Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Post #45. Survivors Include: Wife Deloris Douthit of the Home Sons George Edwin Douthit & wife Gloria Shawnee, OK Guy Henry Douthit & wife Diana Bartlesville, OK Step Daughters Lisa Martin Kansas, OK Susan Watts & husband Nathan Siloam Springs, AR Step Sons Bobby Garrett & wife Andrea Siloam Springs, AR Terry Garrett & wife Shari Cincinnati, AR 15 Grandchildren 8 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren George is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 23 years Peggy Douthit, a daughter Deanna Douthit, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
