Alex Keen Garrett, 84, of Prairie Grove, died Oct. 23 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born March 19, 1894, at Byrdstown, Tenn., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Garrett and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie McDonald Garrett of the home; four sons, Dencie Garrett of Phoenix, Ariz., Howard Garrett of East Alton, Ill., J.A. Garrett of Albuquerque, N.M. and Nolan Garrett of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Inis Clayton of Farmington, Mrs. Nova Brewer of Ogden, Utah and Mrs. Dovie Ruester of Independence, Mo.; two brothers and six sisters; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Prairie Grove, with the Rev. Harold Bartholomew and the Rev. Julius Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery.

Mrs. Cora Ellen (Hickman) Garrett, 56, died suddenly at her home in Bethel Grove last night. She was a member of the Farmington Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Alex Garrett: seven brothers, Dee Hickman of Jasper, and Cole Hickman of Oklahoma, Clyde Hickman of Harrison, Oliver Hickman of Springfield, MO., Cleve and Louis Hickman of Sanger, Calif.; and six children, Dencie Garrett of Beltholto, Ill, Howard Garrett of Prairie Grove, J.A. and Holan Garrett of the home, Inis Clayton of Farmington, Mova Brewer of Prairie Grove, and Dovie Ruester of St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Little Elm Church, under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
