Theo J. Howard, age 80 of Sparkman died Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at his home. He was born January 4, 1940 in Sparkman, Arkansas to the late Hillard “Red” Howard and Gertrude Ratcliff Howard. He was a retired logger. He is preceded in death by wife, Charlotte Howard; four brothers, Tommy Howard, Clarence Howard, Jerry Howard, and Terry “Taco” Howard; and one granddaughter, Whitney Howard. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Glen Givens Howard of Sparkman; four sons, Mike (Teresa) Howard of Bearden, Tony (Kelly) Howard of Thornton, Freddy Howard of Sparkman, and Richard Orton, Jr. of Sparkman; three brothers, Chuck Howard of Bearden, John (Becky) Howard of Thornton, James (Kay) Howard of Sparkman; three sisters, Barbara (Alvin) Bledsoe of El Dorado, Lori (Rickey) Scroggins of Cleveland, and Ranea (James) Deer of Rayville, LA; seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Moss Hill Cemetery in Bearden with Rev. David Dillard officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
