GENTRY — Barbara Dalene Sikes, 84, of Gentry, Ark., died Dec. 7, 2012, at her home. Born Feb. 22, 1928, in Glasco, Kan., she was the daughter of Dale Marzolf and M. Barbara Bohannon Marzolf Ford.

While married to Robert Allen Sikes, she traveled to several military bases in England, Okinawa, and many bases in the United States. When she returned to Gentry, she and Robert Allen were involved in their community while working on their farm in the Bozarth area.

She worked for Speedy Mart of Gentry for 10 years. She was a member of the Gentry First Baptist Church. She served several terms as The Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and was also a member of VFW Post 1150.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992: and one son, John McClure.

Survivors include two sons, James Sikes and wife, Laura, of Durham, N.C., Frank Tom Hiedel of Maryland; one daughter, LaNora Savage and husband, Michael, of Gentry; one son-in-law, Robert McIntyre of Tyler, Texas; two sisters, Virginia Williams of Hammond, La., and Mary Anna Young of Lyndon, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruby Valverde of Washington D.C. area.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Gentry, with Dr. Robin Cowan officiating. Burial will follow at Bozarth Cemetery, near Gentry.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today, Dec. 9, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
