Karen Sue Cassidy, 67, of Steele and formerly of Blytheville passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Edna Mae Neal Jones. She was a retired human services clerk at Walmart. She enjoyed life, her dog and her retirement. She loved her family and cherished and adored her grandson.
Mrs. Cassidy was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Cassidy, and her parents.
Survivors of Mrs. Cassidy include one son, Phillip Cassidy, and his wife, Melissa, of Jonesboro; one brother, J.T. Jones, and his wife, Beverly, of Grove, Okla.; two sisters, Linda Rowland of Blytheville, and Kathryn Maxwell, and her husband, Ted, of Blytheville; one grandson, Sean Cassidy, and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cassidy were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dunavant officiating. Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of arrangements.

Greg Cassidy, 63, of the Huffman community died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, AR.
He was born in Blytheville, AR, to Gerald Henry Cassidy and JoAnn Tankersley Cassidy.
He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed collecting NASCAR and Hot Wheels memorabilia and toy tractors. Greg was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ of Steele.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald H. Cassidy.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Jones Cassidy; son, Phillip Cassidy (Melissa) of Steele; mother, JoAnn Cassidy of Huffman; brothers, Chris Cassidy (Rita) of Blytheville and Jeff Cassidy (Kristen) of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and sisters, Brenda Ashmore (Danny) of Blytheville and Michelle Cassidy of Melbourne, Fla.
Funeral services were in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
