Herschel K. Deen, 64, 905 Rollinson, died Saturday at Chickasawba Hospital. He was a retired construction foreman and had lived in Blytheville all his life.

He leaves his wife, Clara Deen of Blytheville; one daughter, Mrs. Alberta Corson of Lewistown, Pa.; two sons, Douglas Deen and Travis Deen of Blytheville; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Lowery of Memphis; two brothers, John Deen of Brinkley, Ark., and Elwood Deen of Blytheville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Lovell Blasingame officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were S. L. Gentry, Pat Hilliard, Charley Krutz, Hardy Gray, Harold Wright and Buddy Layton.

Mrs. Clara Deen, 73, widow of Herschel K. Deen, died Thursday in Geriatrics, Inc.

Born in Europe, Mississippi, she moved to Blytheville in 1925. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas Deen of West Memphis and Travis Deen of Blytheville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. David Webb officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
