When Virgie Aurora Cooper was born on December 28, 1895, in Blytheville, Arkansas, her father, William, was 25, and her mother, Emilu, was 22. She married Edward Jackson on February 13, 1913, in Clarendon, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. She died having lived for more than 100 years. She died on April 5, 1997, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, at the age of 102.
