Lela Belle Simpson

Norfork - Lela Belle Simpson, age 82, of Norfork Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020, in Mountain Home. She was born December 17, 1937, in Guion, Arkansas to Fred and Mabel (Marchant) Stowers. On December 31, 1956, she married O.C. Simpson in Melbourne, Arkansas.

Over the years, her dedication to her family was evident as she led them through hardship, adventure, and life changing times. She loved listening to Elvis Presley and watching the birds while drinking her morning coffee. Belle proudly served her community at the Norfork Thrift Store and Food Bank where she volunteered hundreds of hours of her time to help others in need.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her two sons Doug Simpson and wife Diane of Norfork and Gary Simpson and wife Sharon of Mulvane, Kansas, one brother Lucian Carrol Stowers, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Junior Stowers, Bobby Stowers, Jim Stowers, Glen Stowers, Dennis "Bub" Stowers and Patsy Hamby.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 9, 2020, at Roller Funeral Home with Trent Alexander officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Norfork Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
