Edward Andrew 'Red' Simpson, 76, of Norfork AR died November 6, 2005, at Conyer, GA. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Simpson and Mary Small Simpson; two wives, Mildred Moser Simpson and Ethel Simpson and two sisters, Vivian Storch and June Simpson. Mr. Simpson was born July 30, 1929, at Norfork, AR, where he operated a service station for 35 years. He was fire chief at Norfork where he helped purchase the first fire truck.
survivors include; son Andy Simpson, Jr and fiancée Phyllis Hendrix of Searcy, AR, son Alan Simpson and wife Martha Simpson of Mansfield, GA; brothers, O.C. Simpson of Norfork, Bobby Simpson of Gepp, AR, Earl Simpson of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Hattie Mae Wilson of Jacksonville, AR, Louise Boyd of Bergman, AR, Imogene Stevens of Othello, WA, Dorthy Allgaiers of Oregon. He had five grandchildren, Donnie Simpson, Stanley Simpson, Audra Simpson, Andrea Simpson, Chance Simpson and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Nov 9, at Salesville Church of Christ with burial at Norfork Cemetery, Jeff Crawford officiating, pallbearers were Donnie Simpson, Stanley Simpson, George Boyd, Melvin Small, Howard Rand and Barton Conley.
The family of Mr. Simpson would like to express their thanks to all of his friends for their kind words and help. He will be dearly missed.
