Jerry L. Moore, 81, of Searcy, died Monday, February 4. He was born July 28, 1931 in Lassater, Texas, the son of Harvey and Edith Moore.
Jerry was a deacon in First Baptist Church of Searcy, served on the board of directors for First National Bank, the Searcy Board of Public Utilities, and was the owner and operator of Moore Forest Products.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce; a son Steve Moore and a daughter Kim Hardin, all of Searcy; two brothers, Jimmy and Wayman Moore of Jefferson, Texas; two sisters, Karen Flanders of Jefferson, Texas and Linda Hall of Lumberton, Texas; grandchildren Mitch Moore and his wife Jessica, Amanda Talley and her husband Justin, Shelby Hardin and Hunter Hardin; great-grandsons Wade and Caleb Moore and Peyton Talley, all of Searcy. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Peggy Montgomery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Searcy. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the White County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.

Joyce Juanita Moore, age 86 of Searcy, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Searcy. She was born October 23, 1932 in Linden, Texas to Marshall Dean Surratt and Bonnie Mae Surratt. She is survived by one son, Stephen Moore of Searcy; one daughter, Kimela Moore Hardin of Searcy; three grandchildren, Mitch Moore of Batesville, Amanda Talley and husband Justin of Searcy; Shelby Hardin of Little Rock; four great-grandchildren, Wade Moore of Searcy, Caleb Moore of Searcy, River Talley of Searcy, Beau Talley of Searcy; one brother, Jerry Surratt of Marshall, Texas; and one sister, Marshaline Surratt of Marshall, Texas; and many other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry L. Moore; grandson, Hunter Hardin; one brother Jewel Dean Surratt; and one sister, Nancy Bomboy.
Visitation is Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are Friday at 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
