Mae Anne (Songer) Tucker was born May 20, 1931 in Craighead County, Arkansas, the younger of two daughters of Granville E. and Edith Jane (Fry) Songer. She graduated from Dixie High School and earned a degree in Home Economics from Harding College. On Sept 9, 1951 she was married to Lott R. Tucker at Lake City, Arkansas. They lived their entire married lives in Searcy when Mae Anne passed from this life, June 7, 2007 at the age of 76.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lott; her parents; her older sister, Marian Nunnally;; a daughter-in-law, Renee (East) Tucker; and a granddaughter, Mary Grace Tucker. She is survived by two sons, Dr. David Songer Tucker of Portland, Oregon and Dr. Robert Stephen Tucker of Little Rock, Arkansas; five grandchildren.
She lived her life dedicated to her Lord, her husband and family, her church and its work, and Harding University.
