Doyce Curtis Lusby, 84, of Camden died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. Mr. Lusby was born April 28, 1928 in Troy, Arkansas the son of Hugh and Willie Lancaster Lusby. He was a Methodist, Navy veteran of the Korean War, and retired purchasing agent for Mid States Pipe Company.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lusby, and a sister, Cortez Langley.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Bryant Lusby of Camden; two sons Don Lusby and wife, Linda of Grand Junction, CO, and Glen Lusby of Little Rock; a daughter, Debbie Primm and husband Bob of Camden; brother, Bill Lusby of Camden; sister, Nancy Boosa and husband, Bob of Camden; two granddaughters Carrie Wood and husband, Heath of Camden and Vanna Shackelford and husband, Chris of Camden; two grandsons, Eric Lusby and wife, Amy of Grand Junction, CO and Justin McKinney and wife Sara of Castle Rock, CO; and nine grandchildren, Leighton Wood, Gunner Wood, Caleb Shackelford, Mackenzie Shackelford, Carter Shackelford, Keira Lusby, Donovan Lusby, Quinci Lusby and Emma McKinney.
Funeral services for Mr. Lusby will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday May 1, 2012 at Proctor Chapel. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
