When Kenneth Edward Lawson was born on August 5, 1924, in Gravel Hill, Arkansas, his father, Otho, was 26 and his mother, Florence, was 24. He married Stella Mae Hunter on September 25, 1943. They had one child during their marriage. He died on July 14, 1997, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 72, and was buried there.
