L. A. "Boss" Dunn, aged 79, of Hampton Route 1, a retired farmer and well known Calhoun County man died at his home at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Mr. Dunn was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, and was a member of the Faustina Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Hardaway Dunn; one son, Mariman Dunn of Hampton; one step-son, Vance Silliman of El Dorado; two step-daughters, Mrs. Nelson Adams, and Mrs. Darrell Avant both of Hampton; two brothers, Jack Dunn, and Watson Dunn both of Hampton; one sister, Mrs. Lessie Roark of Camden; and by 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Faustina Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Earl Lancaster. Burial will be in the Dunn cemetery by Proctor Funeral Home. Active bearers are Shortie Dunn, Kenneth Dunn, Herman Dunn, Fred Dunn, Arnold Dunn and Frank Welch. Honorari bearers are Jodie Good, Chester McClendon, Allen Dunn, Marion Beasley, and Fred Mitchell.
