Aug 14, 1930 - Apr 2, 1996

Dorothy Hays Bellas, age 77, of Searcy was born June 5, 1933 and went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 10, 2011, after a courageous fight.
She was born the daughter of Noble Brown and Modell Brown Jones both of Augusta.
Dorothy is survived by 7 children, Beverly Roberson of Searcy, Brenda Blair, Terry (Pam) Hays, Tammy (Gerald) Lynch, and Rhonda Turner all of Judsonia; Monte (Tammy) Hays of Searcy and Lisa (Randy) Kieffner of Kennett, Missouri; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way at the time of her death; and her sister, Bonnie England of Judsonia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years and daddy to her 8 children, Dayton Hays; a daughter, Sheila Hays; a later husband of 5 years, Norman Bellas and her parents.
Dorothy was known for her love and talent for cooking and baking. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, decorating activities and gardening. She showered everyone with the fruits of her talents. She loved to travel to Branson, country music and dancing. Above all, Dorothy loved her family and taking care of all of them in so many ways. Christmas for example for such a large family only made her more excited to celebrate and express her love. She always placed the joy of others first which really was her joy.
She was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Judsonia and expressed her faith in Jesus even in her last days on earth.
