1935 - 2013
Paul Dean Weston, 78, Independence Missouri, passed away November 12, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
We have lost a great man who has gone to be with God. Visitation Friday, November 14, 2013, 5-6 p.m. with services following at 6 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A private burial service is scheduled.
Paul was born in Brockwell, Arkansas, to Elsie (Yancey) and Cebern Weston. He grew up and graduated from High School in Oxford, Arkansas. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Okla. He gained his Associates degree locally from MCC. After more than 30 years in banking in the Independence area he retired from Boatman's Bank in 1997. He served in many organizations: Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, Independence Chamber of Commerce, TIF Commission, Economic Development Authority, church Finance Committee and others. He was a member of Country Meadows Baptist Church and in the past, part of the Freedom Gospel Group.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Joanne (Martin) Weston; daughter Kristy Main and husband John of Independence; grandson Ryan Main of Kansas City, Missouri, granddaughter Lyndsey Padget and husband Braden; great- granddaughters Allison and Vivienne Padget, all of Lee's Summit, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Country Meadows Baptist Church or Kansas City Hospice House.
