William Max Altom son of Jessie Earl Altom (1905–1967) and Bertha May (Myers) Altom (1905–1984). Clara Gladola (Meharg) Altom daughter of John Dee Meharg (1907–1931) and Martha Ollie Hill Pruitt (1910–1985).

Clara Gladola Altom was born April 9, 1929, the daughter of J.D. Meharg and Ollie Meharg. She went to be with the Lord October 4, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Max Altom.
The mother of four sons, Johnnie Altom of Heber Springs, Jackie Altom, Randy Altom and Michael Altom all of Pangburn, one daughter Lanell Kimbriel of Judsonia. The proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She is leaving behind 3 well loved daughter-in-laws Margie Altom, Carla Altom, Rita Altom as well as 1 son-in-law, Johnny Kimbriel.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Lillie Seymore. She is survived by 3 sisters Ova Waire of Jonesboro, Nell Doyle of Forrest City and Emmie Stewart of Judsonia and numerous well loved nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a host of friends and loved ones, many of whom refer to her as Grandma Clara. She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for many years.
Visitation was held Saturday October 6, 2012 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy.
Funeral Services will be Sunday October 7, 2012 at 2 pm at Harris Chapel Baptist Church in Hickory Flat.
Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery.
