PLEASANT PLAINS — Ellen Virginia Holder Thompson, 71, of Pleasant Plains died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, in a Searcy hospital.
Born July 15, 1939, at Bay, she was the daughter of Archie Alvin and Mary Alice Deadmon Lile. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church at Des Arc.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Holder of Pleasant Plains and Charles Holder of Des Arc; a daughter, Susie Thompson of Des Arc; seven grandchildren, Dustin Holder of Concord, Kelly Holder and Shelly Holder, both of Batesville, Mandy Holder of Beebe, David Holder of Pleasant Plains, Natasha Jackson of Panama City, Fla., and Nicole Jackson of Des Arc; nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Maxwell Holder; a son, Daniel Dwayne Holder; a daughter, Cathy Holder Ellingwood; a brother, Olen Lile; four sisters, her twin, Susie Helen Womack, Evelyn Payton, Bertha Hackerly and Geneve Lile; and a niece, Wilma Jean Payton.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McMullin Cemetery in Pleasant Plains with Jim West officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Holder, David Holder, Charles Holder, Donnie Holder and David Hagler.
