When Thomas Michael Hobbs was born on April 10, 1908, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, his father, Michael, was 24 and his mother, Callie, was 23. He married Sallie Louise Austin on February 15, 1933, in his hometown. They had three children during their marriage. He died on January 16, 1955, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, at the age of 45.
