Graveside service for Anna Ruth Mercer Cannon, 80, of Gilbert, Ariz., formerly of Bridgeport, was Thursday, Feb. 1 in the Oddfellows Section of Lockesburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Cannon died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at a hospice in De Queen, Ark. She was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Decatur to Francis Grover and Esta Opal Cannon Mercer, she was a homemaker and a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Cannon on Nov. 1, 1995.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and John Edwards of Chandler, Ariz.; one brother, Bill Mercer of Euless; one granddaughter, Jennifer Weisman of Ft. Steward, Ga. and a number of nieces and nephews.
