Ewell H. Harrell, 69, died in his home in Bearden at 12:40 a.m. Thursday. He owned and operated a grocery store for many years. He was a Mason. Survivors are his wife, Carrie Coppett Harrell; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Henry of Dallas and Francis Lindsey of Pasadena, Texas; four brothers, Vetol and Earl Harrell, both of Camden, Ray Harrell of Fordyce and Hayward Harrell of Locust Bayou; a sister, Mrs. Harold Chambliss of Monroe, La.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Salem Baptist Church near Bearden. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. (Camden News - December 24, 1971)
