Wendell H. Lawrence, 73, of Mayflower, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008.
He was born December 21, 1934, in Mayflower, to the late John M. and Myrtle Lawrence.
A graduate of Mayflower High School, he was a welder, owner of a steel fabrication shop, and a farmer. He was a member of North Side Church of Christ.
Wendell loved to visit with the local café crowd, who has shown great care and concern for him during his illness.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth W. Lawrence and wife Sherlene of Mayflower and Howard E. Lawrence and wife Reba of North Little Rock; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Beatrice Holt and husband Jack, and a nephew, Kyle Lawrence.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Mayflower Cemetery, Randy Smith officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Pallbearers will be Bill Harrell, Jim Evans, Jimmy Raney, Tom Thomason, Orin Whited, and Mike Shaw. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Smith, Mike Corrigan, Thomas Rhodes, Buddy Fulmer, and Lee Collins.
