Beatrice Courtney Weldon, 85, of Conway, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 07, 2004 at St. Andrews Nursing Home.

Mrs. Weldon was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Conway, a daughter to the late John Henry Courtney and Eugenia "Jenny" Anthamatten Courtney.

Mrs. Weldon was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Christian Ladies, and she enjoyed the senior citizens.

Mrs. Weldon is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Weldon; two brothers, Maurice and Eugene Courtney; three sisters, Irene Courtney, Marie Nixon, and Anna Lee Fulmer.

She is survived by three children, Carlton King and his wife, Terrie, of Jacksonville, John Andrew King of Conway, and Sharon Jordan and her husband, Paul, of Conway; nine grandchildren, Kenneth King, Bryan Myers, Melissa Ann King, David King, Andy King, Keith Myers, Karen Myers, Danny Myers, and Cory Myers.

There will be a Christian Ladies Rosary at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 and Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening with Father Brandon in the chapel of Griffin Leggett.

Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway with Father Tom Byrne officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
