When Oliver Lafayette Alexander Fleming was born on May 19, 1865, in Arkansas, his father, Moses, was 30 and his mother, Susan, was 15. He married Susan E "Susie" Goodman on July 24, 1887, in Sharp, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. He died in 1950 in Pulaski, Arkansas, at the age of 85.
