When Susan E "Susie" Goodman was born on December 26, 1867, in Arkansas, her father, John, was 22, and her mother, Sarah, was 22. She married Oliver Lafayette Alexander Fleming on July 24, 1887, in Sharp, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. She died on January 19, 1930, in her hometown at the age of 62.
