When Tillman Franklin Cummings was born on October 14, 1916, in Mayflower, Arkansas, his father, John, was 19 and his mother, Mary, was 19. He married Suvilla Magdalene Aldridge on December 23, 1936, in Pulaski Township, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. He died on February 17, 1966, in his hometown at the age of 49, and was buried there.

Mrs. Suvilla M. Cummings, 79, of North Little Rock, sister of Robbie Moon of Mayflower, died Thursday (July 20, 2000) at her home.
Born Dec. 13, 1920, in Higden (Cleburne County), daughter of Robert Calaway and Anna Laura Robinson Aldridge, she was the widow of the Rev. Tillman Cummings and a housewife.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Cummings and Lonnie Ray Cummings.
Other survivors are a son, Jimmy D. Cummings of North Little Rock; three daughters, Mary K. White of Tallahassee, Fla., and Martha L. Vestal and Bonnie F. Bartholamew, both of North Little Rock; three other sisters, Mildred Spears of North Little Rock, Bertha Moix of Indiana and Mary G. Aller of Berkeley, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mayflower Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Wickliffe officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Osborne, Bobby Battie, Mike Battie, Leroy Longshore, Don Canon and Herbert
