HIWASSE - Harlon Roy "Big" Stidham, 59, of Hiwasse died Feb. 25, 1999, at Gravette Medical Center. He was born in Anadarko, Okla., to Delmas Dee and Edith Elsie Brown Stidham. He was a self-employed carpenter, a lifetime resident of Hiwasse and enjoyed playing dominoes. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Survivors include two sons; one stepson; two daughters; five brothers; seven sisters; eight grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse with the Rev. George McBride officiating.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Harlon got his nickname Big (he was the biggest of the twins) from his sister Fern 'Stidham' Brinkley. Big's twin's, nickname is Lid he was the littlest of the two boys.
