Lane Killion, 15, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at his residence after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

He entered this life on Feb. 25, 2001, in Gravette, Ark., the son of Bobby and Stephanie (Killion) Jacks. He was a lifelong area resident and a 10th-grader at Gravette High School, where he played football and ran track. Football was his passion, and he proudly wore Lions jersey #81. He played for several years, beginning in childhood with the Pee Wee program. He had dreams of being drafted by the Oakland Raiders but considered joining the United States Air Force a good "plan B." He was an avid outdoorsman, where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed driving and was looking forward to his 16th birthday. Lane had an outgoing and charming personality and was a self-proclaimed "lady's man". He loved his family, fellow teammates and his numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Jacks.

He is survived by his parents, Stephanie Jacks and husband Derek Marvin, of the home and Bobby Jacks of Southwest City, Mo.; two sisters, Phoenix Jacks and Shyanne Marvin; two brothers, Chazz Jacks and Chase Jacks; maternal grandparents, Pam and Steve Killion of Noel, Mo.; paternal grandfather, Don Jacks of Grove, Okla.; and a host of other extended family.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at the Gravette High School Performing Arts Center. Pastor Jonas Edgemon officiated. Burial followed in the Lee Cemetery near Sulphur Springs.

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers were Bobby Jacks, Derek Marvin, Steve Killion, Coach Bill Harrelson, Aaron Campbell and Colton Grimes.

The family received friends Friday evening, Dec. 9, at the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Southwest City.

Online condolences may be sent to the family through www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City.
