W.C. “Bill” McCoy, 90, of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at his residence. Born Dec. 4, 1925, in Haworth, Okla., he was the son of James and Annie Waits McCoy. He was married to his loving wife, Pat, for 67 years. He retired from Texas Eastern after 34 years of service. Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his family, and greeted everyone with a smile, making them feel warm and welcome in his home. He will be dearly missed by his family. Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Rossie, Sammie, and Jean; and his twin brother, Wylie. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann McCoy of El Dorado; daughter, Carola Williams of El Dorado; two sons, Cliff McCoy (Donna) of El Dorado, and Chris McCoy Judy) of El Dorado; brother, Jess McCoy (Barbara) of Broken Arrow, Okla.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with the service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eddie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery on O’Rear Road. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Crow for her dedication to his care.
