November 23, 1953 - August 24, 1965
Funeral services for Rodney Ray Parker, 11, who was killed when struck by an automobile on Highway 167 near Calion Tuesday morning, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church of Calion with the Rev. James Ford officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. The body was taken to the Parker home Wednesday afternoon. Pallbearers will be Leo Johnson, Mike Evans, Paul Clawson, Ben Clawson, Mike Murphy, Mike Beene, Rusty Ellis and Ronny Walker. Young Parker is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry, three sisters, Marilyn Sue, Elaine and Ann; five brothers, Charles, Conway, John, Roger and Scotty, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Johnson of Calion and Charles W. Parker also of Calion. (The El Dorado Times - August 25, 1965)
