Mrs. Virginia Freeman, 81, died Saturday in a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. Born in Union County, she was the widow of W. R. Freeman, and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. T. V. Burson, Fulton; three brothers, P. A. Dearing, El Dorado, Milan Dearing, Mooringsport, La., and Walker Dearing, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Minnie L. Nash, El Dorado; seven grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Rumph's Chapel with the Rev. C. C. Crace officiating. Burial followed in Arlington Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers. (El Dorado Times - January 18, 1971)
