BENTONVILLE - Gertrude "Trudy" Bonnie Jean Nichols Brewer, 76, of Bentonville died March 23, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County. She was born July 27, 1927, in Glade to Thomas Andrew Nichols and Nellie Louella Mason Brewer. She was a lifetime resident of Bentonville and a graduate of Bentonville High School where she was a member of the basketball team. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Jo Brewer.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Richard Brewer and wife Jan of Suffolk, Va., Daniel Carlyle Brewer of Bentonville; one daughter, Bonnie Gail Gabbard of Bentonville; four sisters, Agnes Williams, Mary Kirby, Margaret Mayhall and Betty Wright; one brother, Harley J. Nichols; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Bentonville with the Rev. Dennis Spence officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
